Black and White

I am having the most perfect snow day. I woke up to a foot of snow, and the electricity is still on. Coffee in all its smokey goodness. The heater was billowing warm air. My computer works. I am able to read under the yellow lamp glow…

But, first I took a walk in the feathery perfection to take pictures.

I seem to be having a problem uploading pictures, and I have more to add. I want all of you to see how beautiful and peaceful it is here today. I guess your imagination will have to fill in the blanks. It is quiet… no traffic, and no snow plows. Just sleeping Golden Retrievers and the quiet whisper of pages turning as I’m reading my book.

I hope your day is as peaceful.

I Know, I Know…

It’s been a week of doctor’s appointments, and snow shovelling. None of which is fun.

Yesterday we didn’t have power for twelve hours, and right now I think our power is hanging on by a thread. The snow is coating all of the wires and trees. The wires are sagging, and the trees are bending. It’s still snowing and I can see that I’m going to spend another pain filled day with a shovel…

You see, I’ve been diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome, and possibly Rheumatoid Arthritis. My doctor isn’t sure about the RA, but believes that I have an autoimmune disease happening. In fact two of them. She has started me on a DMARD, Plaquinel. It is a disease modifiying drug, and it takes up to three months to work. I’m also starting on Restasis for my very dry eyes.

Maybe too much information for a blog? Just being honest…
